It’s hard to believe but 2022 will mark the 10th year of the Arizona Gives program that has raised more than $30 million dollars for thousands of nonprofits. And our presenting sponsor, FirstBank, has been with us every step of the way. The growth has been a collective effort of the Alliance and its collaborators, all the nonprofits who have participated, and, of course, donors – each has had a part in making this statewide online fundraising program impactful

When I look back on my first year experiencing Arizona Gives, the program has undergone major transformation in some ways and in other ways we’ve strived to maintain what’s always worked. I love that AZGives.org is available to donors year-round, that they can donate to multiple organizations at one time, that it’s safe and secure to do so, and that the public can now search for nonprofit volunteer opportunities and events at any time (Don’t forget to add yours if you haven’t recently).

And as we get closer to opening nonprofit re-enrollment/registration, this coming year will be no different.

A few changes you may have already noticed is that we’re spreading our 24-hour Arizona Gives Day format for incentive prizes over two days.  We’ll start at noon on April 5 and end at noon on April 6, allowing everyone to be awake when we start and when we end.  It will also (hopefully) provide more time for our local media to highlight the amazing work of the participating nonprofits.

We’ve instituted a new registration fee schedule to encourage early enrollment with February 28 as the deadline. That’s ONLY two weeks before we start early giving for Arizona Gives Day.

Early registration = more campaign planning = more fundraising succe$$!

This year also marks the beginning of our team working with a new marketing firm to help develop the nonprofit toolkit assets and assist with our public-facing social media campaigns.

While our work on Arizona Gives is continually evolving and never ending, so is our vision toincrease philanthropy and bring awareness about the nonprofit sector to the public. We continue this program in the hopes of helping everyone understand that together we can do more and that includes the power of collective giving.
