Get to Know Arizona Family Health Partnership

rn

rn

AFHP refers to the Arizona Family Health Partnership, a 47-year-old private, nonprofit organization. AFHP is dedicated to making reproductive healthcare and education available and accessible to all individuals in Arizona, particularly those lacking resources and traditionally reluctant to seek care.
rn
rnThough a team of just 10 employees, our organization distributes millions of dollars in Title X funding that supports over 55 health centers across Arizona and on the Navajo Nation in Southern Utah. Title X is the only federally funded program dedicated to providing comprehensive family planning and, with AFHP’s oversight, much needed care is provided at low or no cost to tens of thousands of low-income and/or underinsured and uninsured individuals across our state.
rn
rnOur health center network offers quality, confidential sexual and reproductive health services, which include:
rn- Birth control and other contraceptive methods;
rn- STI/STD testing, prevention education and treatment;
rn- Pregnancy testing and counseling;
rn- Pap smears;
rn- Breast exams and more.
rn
rnOn average our network serves 26,000 clients annually.

rn

rnDuring fall 2021, AFHP will implement changes to the Title X rule passed by the Biden administration. This 2021 final rule was written to ensure that the predominantly low-income clients who rely on Title X services as their usual source of medical care have access to the same quality healthcare, including full medical information and referrals. The rule changes also include equitable and inclusive language, recognizing the range of Title X clients and allowing for greater accessibility to care.
